Teresa Udell – Counsellor
My name is Teresa Udell and I provide counselling sessions at Fairford Therapy Centre.
There are times when we all need help in understanding the world around us and I can assist you to see things more clearly. My aim is to help you towards the realisation that you are able to make the best decisions for yourself, to enable you to cope in your day to day life.
I am a member of British Association Counsellors and Psychotherapists and work within their code of ethical practice. I have worked in general counselling practice and trained in trauma, self harm, disordered eating, depression, anxiety, life transitions, and social anxiety. I have also worked as a one to one counsellor in a local addictions rehabilitation centre and as group facilitator in a domestic abuse agency, and have considerable experience in these areas.
My theoretical approach to counselling is Integrative.
I am psychodynamic and trauma focused, central to my practice is making early developmental relationships explicit, working with a clients unconscious pain and adverse childhood experiences. I also use transactional analysis and CBT exercises.
