Solution Focused Hypnotherapy

Solution focused hypnotherapy combines relaxation and solution focused psychotherapy to help achieve a shift in mind set. This can help overcome bad habits, achieve full potential and overcome negative feelings.

Through simple relaxation and visualisation techniques, deep relaxation or “trance” is achieved, the subconscious mind can be reached and change can occur.

Trance is a naturally occurring state that we all enter many times a day.  Can you recall driving a car and suddenly being unaware of part of the journey?  Or being engrossed in a good book?  All examples of trance!

You are in control at all times and most people find it is a relaxing and enjoyable experience.

Hypnotherapy can help with:-

  • Stress and anxiety
  • Low mood
  • Sleep problems
  • Confidence and focus
  • Specific phobias and fears
  • Control to aid weightloss, smoking cessation
  • IBS

This is not an exhaustive list, so if your problem is not named, please contact us to see if we can help.

The National Institute for Clinical Excellence (NICE) lists hypnotherapy as one of the treatments able to help IBS.

After hypnotherapy you may feel more relaxed and more at ease in situations which previously challenged you. Clients often report sleeping better and as a result, make decisions more easily and are more productive at work.

The client needs to be willing to work in collaboration with the therapist, and some changes in lifestyle may be discussed but then positive change can bring immense rewards, especially if it means leaving old negativity behind!
